Welcome to the Web Site of the FX-HZ Holden Car Club of Geelong. Feel free to have a look around, see what the club is all about and what we get up to on some of our club runs and don’t forget to check out some of the members beautiful classic cars. Some of my fondest moments when growing up in the 1970’s and 80’s was when my Aunty used to visit, pulling up in our driveway in her EH Premier Sedan. In my mind this car had class. Even though my parents had Kingswood’s this EH had a personality and a shape that just appealed to me. I would sit in the driver’s seat envisioning one day I was going to own one of these. Mind you, back then these Holden’s were as common as Commodore’s are today and were a dime a dozen. As a teenager I always wanted to own an EH however the opportunity never presented itself until reaching adulthood. Until then, whenever I saw one on the road, it always brought back fond memories of this classic piece of Australian motoring history. If you have a similar passion or enjoyment for old Holden’s then perhaps you might enjoy interacting with people with similar interests. Feel free to come along on one of our organised runs, or attend one of our monthly meetings (1st Monday of each month). Whether as a family, by yourself or with a mate, everyone is welcome and encouraged to be a part of the club. Having over 80 members the FX-HZ Holden Club of Geelong also welcomes owners of Torana’s and Gemini’s and any other pre-1979 Holdens. With a wealth of knowledge, access to a car trailer and a BBQ mounted trailer, all club activities are well catered for. The Geelong Holden day was a huge success with over 500 cars and record numbers through the gate, click on above holden club ute for more detail and trophy winners. we run the geelong holden day every year in march so look out here for more info as we get close.
The club holds meetings on the first Monday of every month (except January) at the Bay Room, Cnr. Boundary Rd and Bellarine Hwy, East Geelong starting at 7.30pm.
