bzzzzzzzz 5.30am alarm on a Sunday is not a pleasant thing
and trying to wake the better half and kids at 6 is not a pleasant thing
either.
As Kev said rubbing his eyes at the meeting place at 7.15.."whose idea was
this"
Brett turned up in the club Ute for its first official run, along with Rob
in the hk with the
bbq trailer, spud and family in the monaro, Mitch Laurie and Wendy in the
eh,
Neil and son in the hj Ute, Peter and friend in fb to give the new motor a
run in,
kev and family in the ausie6 eh (happy anniversary guys) Jason in the hr
ute
myself and family in the hg monaro, mark and Nathan in the commodore and
Nathan in the
brougham later on in the day.
We picked up Wolfgang in Bacchus marsh and away we went, we were given a
great area
in a grassy, shady, area and we set up the tailor and tent, followed by
COFFEE...mmmmmm
with 7 kids in tow Rob (uncle Rob) took off to the playground with a (why
me) look on his face.
With over 2500 cars on show every took off for a look see, leaving the
ladies to chat about,
whatever ladies chat about.
car car and more cars....around 12pm uncle Rob and myself with a few kids
, headed
back to the camp every one had the same idea and we fired up the bbq.
Again with Brett on the tongs and a few nice salads from Wendy, Chantelle
and Jane we chowed
down to snags hamburgers, toad in the holes and dim sims, with potatoes
salad, noodle paster
and a really nice wombok salad .
After lunch is was off to see the other half of the cars, and lots and
lots of walking, by 2 pm
my legs and back couldn't take any more...Neil did a great job putting our
Holden day fliers under
every Holden at the place, the weather was fantastic and it was a top day.
