Our
HT Premier was originally manufactured in Queensland. It had a full bare metal respray
done there before it was brought to Victoria. The paint is the original Kashmir
Verdoro green with the addition of fine gold flake. We
believe we are only the car’s third owner with the original
purchaser hailing from Caloundra, Qld, who bought the new
vehicle in July 1970. We are extremely lucky to be in
possession of the original bill of sale, receipts and all
owner’s manuals including information on the original
options. |
We
purchased the vehicle in September 2008 as a roller without
engine or running
gear (and many other missing bits & pieces) and have spent
the last 12 months not
only restoring the engine bay but also completing a full
restoration of the entire underside
of the floor pan as well as the installation of the current
small block Chev V8,
turbo 400 transmission and 9“ LSD diff. The wheels are
Centreline Warriors which
add a nice touch of bling to a classic car.
Continuing restoration of the interior is planned over the
coming months with new carpet, underlay and kick-panels
already installed.
