Flemington is not all about horses and roses,
today the fx-hz Geelong Holden run consisted of Holden cars and
petrol (and at $1.48) a ltr and with over 400 cars on show I recon allot of
money parted ways.
The fb-ek Holden car club of vic organized the day and
a big thanks goes out to Allan for letting us park in the club section, due
my forgetting to put through our entry forms on time.
But that’s not
all I forgot, I Copt a blast for quite a few people for forgetting the dim
Sims, but to my defense getting up at 6.30 on a Sunday morning will make me
forget something.
We had 18
cars in total with 14 members and 4 guests, and parked on a nice grassy area
with heaps of shade in the 27 degree weather was quite nice and relaxing.
David towed the trailer with the club ute and found
that the drum brakes really need upgrading, so Rob towed it home on the back
of the hk sedan and the Ute will be in for a front end over hall in the
coming weeks.
We threw up the
shade tent and into fired up the bbq at 12ish, snags, hamburgers and some
taste little chipolatas that went like hot cakes, oh and no dim Sims (but in
my defense I did make up for it by bringing along a few packets of
chocolates).
It was good to
see a great row of our clubs cars all shined up from fjs all the way
through to wbs all alongside the tent and Ute
, as well as guests cars.
Cheers for all
who came, made of a great sunny sunday.
