DANS HQ

.

I brought my Holden HQ for $100 15 years ago!
It was a little run down when i brought it, having chips and wear in the paint, drivers side door missing, a bench seat, a 3 speed colomn shift and half a 202 engine and banjo diff in it. I did what it needed to get it back on the road 10 years ago but i had only done a basic paint job(resprayed white) with an old 253 colomn shift auto and 3.08 salisbury in it.
It was running on the road for roughly about 5 years untill i decided to take the HQ off the road to give it full restoration. I have been collecting parts over the years for this restoration project, and have now finally brought to completion.
I started by putting all new stearing and suspension in the car and then replaced 3 floor pans. I then painted all the floor and the underside. I have put all new chasis rubbers and radiator support rubbers on.
I upgraded the front brakes with crossed drilled and slotted rotors and all new back brakes, new brakes lines an bearing, i also put new f
ront cowl rust repair section on the left and a new rust repair section in the L/H quarter panel then put some HQ GTS flutes is the fenders, the hq was all sanded back to bare metal and after alot more body work i repainted her Moody blue mica then put back together with all new rubbers kit, the HQ now runs a not to bad 253 and 4spd , 3.08 diff and new custom Re-trimmed the inside and so much more. Happy to have the new HQ back on the road..
