What a great turn out 60 people attended our Christmas
party at the
Peninsula Hotel on Saturday
night, from past members current and sponsors, the club provided a round of
drinks and bread for every table this came with heaps of chatter and
laughter everywhere, the kids took off to the play room, we had to go find
them when the meals arrived, the service was prompt and the meals were
filling and taste, so while we all chowed down a band kicked in, thumping
out some eagles, credence Clearwater and daddy cool , again the club
had organized presents for the kids and Santa (Brett) handed out chocolate
Christmas stocking.
Nicole then took to the stage with Ronnie to present this years Ronnie
award, this goes out to the member who has made the most valuable
contribution to the club through out the year, this award is voted for by
the members of the club.
Les our club president was this years well deserved recipient , Les has
been with the club since 2008 and in this time has jumped strait into the
presidents roll, we thank him for all his time and efforts to make the club
what it is today.......
We only had one club member (mitchell) who bought along their Holden,
every one else wimped out from the promise of rain and high wind.
All in all it was a great night and good to see a great turn out, it has
been a great year with lots of club runs, bbqs and meetings with
the club growing and growing we will continue to make the Geelong
fx-hz Holden club bigger and better each year.
