Colac Car Show
The
club met at the Waurn Ponds Hotel at 8.15am and took off at 8.30am with
about 20 members doing the run through to Colac.
We
parked in a great spot and set up the flags and tent to show off our
goods.
With
more than 300 cars on show and a nice cloud cover, it turned out to be a
great day.
If
you have your Holden off the road ? or on ? and would like to come
to a club outing ,our club ute is always looking for a driver. Just
shoot the club phone an SMS next time a club run message goes out and we
will get you behind the wheel. And with talk of a V8 going in soon I am
sure it will be a pleasure to drive and towing the trailer will be
effortless.
Thanks
to Dan C for getting behind the wheel this run, he has now had the
experience of driving a 3 on the tree for the first time.
The
Colac Shows brings cars of all varieties from pre-40 right through to
the latest cars, motor bikes and even drag cars. So with heaps of clubs
about we were very pleased when the Geelong FX-HZ Holden Car Club won
the top club display for the second year in a row.
I
was very pleased with Bellarine Auto Glass for fitting a new windscreen
in the Monaro 3pm the day before, but was very displeased with the bird
who decided to use it as a toilet, along with my bonnet and roof of the
car.
Suppose
it's Murphy's Law when these things happen.
Thanks
to all for coming,
Blissy
